"The primary difference between us is how we interpret the law.  You take it carnally, and I take it spiritually." David Miller

Actually, I am in agreement with Paul.

"For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin." ROM 7:14

I take the law spiritually, because, although I am carnal, I seek that which is spiritual.  The law reveals the will of God.  The law of God is spiritual and perfect.  I subject myself to the law of God in order to keep from being carnally minded and at enmity with God, as Paul said.

"Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God:
for it is not subject to the law of God,
neither indeed can be." ROM 8:7

Those who reject God's law, yet say that they know Him lie.

"He that saith, I know him,
       and keepeth not his commandments,
is a liar, and the truth is not in him."    1JO 2:4

Those who reject God's commandments, God rejects.

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast
rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no
priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will
also forget thy children."  HOS 4:6

God abides in those who keep His commandments.

"And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in
him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which
he hath given us."  1JO 3:24

We love God's children when we love God and keep His commandments.

"By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God,
and keep his commandments."  1JO 5:2

We are to keep the commandments of God AND the faith of Jesus.  One without the other is dead.

"Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the
commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus."  REV 14:12
