Yes, that is what I meant.  Gnosticism is not really identified prior to
the second century, while 1 John was written at the end of the FIRST
century.  Thank you for correcting me.  See... you just illustrated how
I am not perfect in regards to the human frailty of making linguistic
mistakes.  :-)
