Not being an expert on Central American archeology, I cannot answer your
question, but here is my best guess: The lands of the Bible have been arid
desert or near such for centuries, and for that reason, whatever was found
centuries later was often intact, for the most part.
But what about the BoM lands? Central and Middle
America areas are often tropical jungle/rainforest, where ample moisture
and vegetation quickly destroy whatever may have been. Ever been to the
area I am talking about? It is vastly different from Bible lands, for one
thing.
