So, Terry, it seems that scripture contradicts itself.  How do you resolve that, unless it was the human part of Jesus which was tempted? izzy

 


 

       18For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.

  James 1:13-14 "
Let no man say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God", for God cannot be tempted by evil nor does He Himself tempt anyone.  But each one is tempted when drawn away by his own desires and enticed.

 The desire of God, the Son, was to do the will of God the Father.  It was impossible to tempt him to do evil because there was no evil desire in His flesh.
