If only it were so simple.  If everyone followed this policy, progress
in technologies I use on a daily basis would slow and likely stagnate.
In my experience, it is more productive to develop a thicker skin,
listen, and let people know when you feel they have stepped over the
line of productive feedback.

Though it is indeed true that a quickly written email is sometimes of
less value than no email at all, I have a feeling that few of us
really have time to answer every last question, or to *always* fully
qualify our opinions.  After working with a person for a while, you
get a better feel for when you actually need them to support their
opinions.
