Ken, I fully agree with this. I have two questions here:
1°/ Is 1.5 ready for a beta release? How much work would still be required in it? 2°/ Does anyone else have an objection to release of the 1.1 branch (1.1beta1) in 24 hours? If anyone has some patches/pet tickets please say so now. 1.1 is pretty darn stable and really needs a release. I'll go for a beta because we'll inevitably have questions coming from our user base and I want to be able to release a real 1.1 after 2 weeks. In our first vision we wanted to have TW in the 1.1 release but it seems to be non realistic. I am completely ok with you to get this in the 1.5 branch instead of the 1.1 (which is a sine qua non condition to be able to release 1.1 beta). Last but not least: I'd like to warmly and publicly thank you & Luke Macken for all the efforts you've put in TurboGears 1.x development!
