We *are* sticking with SQL Alchemy / Elixir. For now. If something better
comes in the future, why should we refrain from using it?

You don't need to abandon SQL Object in any of your projects -- not even new
ones -- so you haven't lost your investiment on learning it. If something
changes in the future, you won't loose the investiment you seem to be doing
in SQL Alchemy now.
