Ben's timing was off despite having met with Olbermann earlier in the
week. Mad Magazine has a more scathing indictment of Countdown this month.

It's a sadly recurring but that apes ... oh I dunno 75% off Mad TV? A
character bit that doesn't really go anywhere, but is a voice. What
annoyed me more than the return of this sketch, but that they had Ben
playing ... Adam Sandler.

recurring bit. was previously "Sloths."

Maher did.

Well, he hosted in 2002. http://snltranscripts.jt.org/02/02c.phtml

That McCain suggested "Sad Grampa" as a campaign strategy was like
watching him implode. It was just odd to see him willing to do the
update bit while Seth nailed the McCain campaign seemingly seconds
before and after his WU bit.

Some of Rosie's "Big Gay Sketch Show" on Logo equals and betters SNL and
MAD. I'm loving Little Britain USA. That SNL does have have a lotta
things set in stone makes me cringe. That nobody working on the show
seems to be watching the 1st seasons on DVD to see how sketches seemed
to work back then is saddening.
