Like I posted on the blog, I think the entertainment pieces work best
early in the campaign season when the voters are just getting to know
the candidates. I think having McCain on the Late Show and Obama on
the Daily Show is different because the hosts are known to ask serious
questions. My objection is more to scripted comedy skits when the
campaigns are in full swing.
