Since neither you nor I would have been facing 50 years in prison from a corrupt judge ovwerwelhmed by having a famous and much disliked defendant in his courtroom, I think it is fair to say that Polanski has already faced a more severe penalty than we would have. I am still optimistic that reasonable heads can prevail here, and Polanski can, on the one hand, be required to work through the system rather than run away from it, and the LA courts will find the integrity to admit that they over-reached and bungled this case, and hand out a sentence that does not require much if any additional prison time. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ TV or Not TV ....
