the judge in the late 90's said if Polanski came back and the trial was *televised* that he wouldn't have to do more time. apparently His Honor had some Wapner-sized stars in his eyes. he later denied having said this despite others who were at the meeting saying it was true. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ TV or Not TV ....
