An Adventure in Time and Space was a lovely film. Written by Mark Gatiss, I
thought it was a beautifully constructed piece with much of it shot in the
BBC's TV Centre which has just shut down after many years.

Verity Lambert truly was a great of British TV with another genre show -
Adam Adamant Lives! She also got referenced by Monty Python, and worked or
oversaw other massive British hits including the mini Edward and Mrs
Simpson as well as The Sweeney and Minder. Another fantastic mini she
worked on was GBH. Her most popular hit, before her death, was Jonathan
Creek (recently resurrected for the odd one-off).

And if you watch Who, be sure to catch one of the best episodes in the
series in recent years - Human Nature - in which there's a loving reference
to her.

Overall I was really pleased with the whole package of Doctor Who shows to
celebrate its 50th. The Day of the Doctor was just about pitch perfect,
with not too many guests being shoe-horned in (if you do that, the story
loses out). Yes it'd have been great if Ecclestone had shown up for just a
few seconds, but I can live without that, and Moffat still managed to one
way or another show all the regenerations.

The webisode with Paul McGann was a lovely treat.

The red-button or internet-only Five(ish) Doctors Reboot is a great laugh
for anyone who knows the programme, and was written and produced by *my*
doctor, Peter Davison. It deserved a proper TV outing.

But perhaps the biggest treat was the *SPOILER* appearance of a certain
Curator. How he fits in will be hotly discussed for a long time to come.
