It automatically recorded what I would call a "Special" a week or so ago, with interviews with a few actors who have played the Doctor and various companions, and they guy who was the voice of K-9. I guess the episode that followed some days later "The Day of the Doctor" is itself called a "special", but to me it just seems like the next episode of the show. What I am referring to as the special summarized and focused on a few odd pieces of trivia that got small shout-outs in the following episode (example: 10's informal footwear) and also gave viewers who were not familiar with the original run enough information to make sense of some of the things we saw in TDOTD, without being too heavy handed about it. My son and I happened to watch the two back to back. Having just watched the special I would not have guessed that we were being force fed some information that would be called back to in the episode. -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
