Hannity isn't asking ABC to fire Kimmel and Kimmel isn't moved to call for any action. The action is Hannity calls Kimmel names and Kimmel shows the attacks in his monologue and throws back some insults. Hannity isn't facing any consequences from FNC for his attacks so he can continue indefinitely. Kimmel is only responding so he can continue until Hannity drops the attacks. When Fred Allen and Jack Benny had their "feud" on radio it was mutual promotion for their radio shows. This "feud" would serve the same purpose except neither seems to want to promote the other's program. And neither is going to take the other off the air.
