Alas there was no database challenge this year. I think it died through "lack of interest" - as nearly as I can make out there were only 5 confirmed starters - Kevin (the King & Winner last year with SB+), Stamina (Visage - 2nd last year & looking for Kevin's scalp!!:-), Cache (CSP?), Revelation (OpenInsight) & Binary Star (Nucleus)
The U2 themed talks seemed to always draw good crowds (not as many people in encryption for data at rest talk, but may reflect that not many people have a "need" for this at present?) Not sure if the IBM people will be making their presentations available? All in all, well worthwhile - and as you missed Long Beach, I would highly recommend you try & make Sydney/Melbourne around October this year :-) Ohh, and if there are any "Vegemite Virgins" out there, please contact me directly for a copy of the product (Vegemite - the Aussie equivalent of Peanut Butter & Jelly), VV ceremony "script" and I'll also throw in a Visage Test Drive CD at no extra cost (includes around 5 hours of multi-media product training/show&tell) Ross Ferris Stamina Software Visage > Better by Design! >-----Original Message----- >From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:owner-u2- >[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Dianne Ackerman >Sent: Saturday, 18 March 2006 5:16 AM >To: U2 List Server >Subject: [U2] Spectrum conference > >Did anyone attend the Spectrum conference?
