Do you know if you enabled Apport
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Apport#How_to_enable_apport)?

If you are not sure if it is really enabled, try opening a Terminal
window, running nano (type nano and press enter), then open a new tab
and run "killall -SEGV nano" (without the quotes). If Apport is enabled,
you'll see a dialog box like
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Apport?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=apport-
gtk-desktopfile.png (but for nano rather than devhelp). This confirms
that Apport is enabled. Please don't actually submit a bug report for
the nano "crash", since that is not really a crash (we made nano "crash"
without it actually doing anything wrong).

If indicator-weather disappears from your panel while Apport is enabled
and there are no .crash files in /var/crash, then we can be pretty sure
that the termination of indicator-weather is not due to a crash (not in
the strict sense, anyway).
