Hi, @Erik Zijlstra: cups is not distributed differently in Linux Mint than in Ubuntu since it comes from Ubuntu repositories. Like you, I have seen only one package cups to update in Linux Mint update manager, probably because it was a metapackage; however, 13 packages with version "2.4.1op1-1ubuntu4.15" were installed. (see attached image)
@Dan Bielanski: I did not get my cupsd.conf corrupted when installing "2.4.1op1-1ubuntu4.15" version, and I could check with a Timeshift snapshot that the former version of cupsd.conf, prior to "2.4.1op1-1ubuntu4.15" installation was not corrupted and identical to cupsd.conf after installation. So, no former corruption. ** Attachment added: "Capture du 2025-12-02 13-08-51.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/2133207/+attachment/5930858/+files/Capture%20du%202025-12-02%2013-08-51.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2133207 Title: cups security update causes issues with invalid config file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cups/+bug/2133207/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
