Thanks for the info. I am really leaning to solid window panes. I live in the Atlanta area and the boat will be kept in Florida. I do have two A/C units that work great. If I do put the solid windows in, I am going to put in a vent in the ceiling of the Salon up to the Fly Bridge. West Marine has a bunch of nice vents that will allow air circulation and stop water intrision. Mostly I am worried about mildew in the summer. As most know Florida is ay 98% humidity from May to October.
I took the old windows and frames to a local glass shop. They said that they can do whatever I want, new sliding windows or solid panes. I do like the idea of double panes, but I think some tinted safety glass would better suit me.
