I have the same block. One sender is much larger than the other on it. The
larger one on my boat is for the oil gauge and the small pancake looking one
is for the alarm. If you are not sure which one, take the wire of the large
sender and see if you still show oil pressure, if you do not than that
sender is for the gauge.

You can buy senders with different pressure ranges on them. The alarm sender
can be what ever you want it to be. The oil gauge sender has to be match
with the oil pressure gauge or you will get false readings

 

The oil pressure alarm should sound and light up when you shut down the
engine If it turns its self off when you restart the engine, than it is
working correctly.

 

Make sure you have good grounds (common problem), A poor ground will cause
you problems

Art, my alarm sender is on a rectangular, aluminum "manifold" (block) that
also has the oil pressure sender.  So yes, I would expect that yours is near
the pressure sender.  I don't know your engine(s), so it is possible that
they are NOT together, but I'd look there first.

Hello Fellow Uniflite Lovers.  Our Uni is a 1973 31' Sport Sedan: Been
following your oil alarm posts.  I have a port oil alarm that rings and
flashes the alarm at incorrect time... my ring sounds and light flashes the
port oil alarm seconds after the motor is shut down and oil pressure is at
0.  I simply flick the alarm master switch to off and on; depending if
motors are started or off.  But, I wonder if the port alarm would work if
oil pressure dropped while motor was running??  Can you tell me where to
look for the sender switch in this case? I imagine it's on the engine right
by the sender for oil pressure gauge - correct?  I've not searched for it
yet but plan to locate and replace it in near future.  Any hints

Thanks for the information Jeb.  I have determined that mine is closed
at low or no pressure.  Therefore it is OPEN at pressure.  I glanced
at Summit but I don't see anything there, so I will stop in at my
local auto parts store.
