I've used the slug for slimserver in the past but stopped at version
6.3.1. Main problem with upgrading to 6.5.0 onwards was the use of
MySQL and the slug's inability (due to ram limitations) to cope with
mplayer and lame to decode AAC+ and other formats.

I use an old P2 266Mhz procesor with 192MB of ram using Clarke Connect
linux. The database scan is a bit slow but I've had no problems with
any streaming to an SB3. The processor and ram stay within bounds most
of the time. I also use it as a file server, only because its there.

Shows what is possible with a slim linux distro and SC.
