Not knowing who/what mounted the parition it is difficult to tell if the RO condition is by limitation or by configuration. You might need a recent ntfs-3g driver. Then issue the commands to mount RW the partition. Perhaps like this guy does: http://xjqian.wordpress.com/2007/11/11/readwrite-ntfs-in-debian/ Or like this for hot-plugging on usb: http://www.debian-administration.org/users/e5z8652/weblog/3
However, and personnaly; I'd do anything possible to avoid writing to the NTFS drive. Last time I checked (long ago) ntfs-3g was slow *and* buggy. Sharing over the network with Samba is much safer. -- epoch1970 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=56652 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
