Not knowing who/what mounted the parition it is difficult to tell if the
RO condition is by limitation or by configuration.
You might need a recent ntfs-3g driver. Then issue the commands to
mount RW the partition.

However, and personnaly; I'd do anything possible to avoid writing to
the NTFS drive. Last time I checked (long ago) ntfs-3g was slow *and*
buggy. Sharing over the network with Samba is much safer.
