Yeah, I tried over there first without much success.  I thought it
might be a common situation that many squeezecenter running linux folks
would deal with.  

Just to reiterate my earlier question, because it seems no one has
taken a swipe at it.  With every peripheral connected (mouse, monitor
etc.) the computer goes to sleep while playing music via my
squeezebox3.  Is this normal behavior when running Linux or more
specifically x/ubuntu.  It seems from the little investigating of
documentation I've read, that it is normal because the default power
management only looks at mouse inputs and keyboard strokes to decide if
the computer is idle.  There's a great little plugin (prevent sys
standby) for windows to make things work as desired.  Surely I'm not
the only one who's dealt with this?  Thanks.
