I started experiencing audio drop outs from time to time. In my search for the cause I have increased the Alsa buffer till 1 second. Its probably safe to say that its not caused by a buffer issue. I need to do more research on it. A couple of events happened more or less the same time, such as kernel update (to latest test version) and my Wandboard is now outputting audio on both analog and spdif outputs. So I need to drill down a bit more to investigate whats happening. Maybe my output hack is at cause, I dont know yet. Anyway, I have attached a copy of the asound.conf if anyone is interested what I did. Squeezelite is driving the default audio device, which enables output on both analog and spdif.
I need the analog output to drive my VU meters. Picture of the prototype is also included. Im currently assembling everything on a wooden board that has the same dimensions as the M-DAC. The idea is to use a Lakewest housing to accommodate everything. This way it will be an excellent companion of the M-DAC. Just to eliminate some of the factors. Ill remove my asound.conf later to test if I still experience audio drops. +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: asound.conf.txt | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=14742| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pascal Hibon's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7969 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98544
