One more. Headless vs. Jivelite operation
Many, if not the majority, runs headless I'd assume. I'd suggest following for the RPI. Introduce a Headless mode. Changes for headless mode: 1. HDMI off (saves around 20mA) /opt/vc/bin/tvservice -o 2. Lower GPU memory allocation /boot/config.txt gpu_mem_512=16 gpu_mem_256=16 I'd suggest Headless as default mode. If people install Jivelite you just leave tvservice on resp. increase the gpu_mem_512=64. This would follow the "Turn On on Demand" policy on tight resource machines.
