I'm going to revert my code to match the pCP version of the visualiser
code, so that vu_analog_25seq_w.png becomes the default again. I don't
want to create confusion between different implementations. But the
approach will be the same - you'll just have to make sure your chosen
style has the '_w' suffix.

If you have a plug in the 3.5mm socket and you're still getting the
hissing sound after updates that is a bit odd. I wonder if the jack
socket operates a switch that turns the speaker off in software, rather
than physically breaking the signal path.

The difference with the screensavers in my Jivelite version, compared to
the Squeezeplay version, is that the screensavers are only concerned
with the status of the currently selected player, which is not
necessarily the 'local' player (i.e. running from the Joggler hardware).
So there could be some initial confusion after a reboot, if the
previously selected player isn't available while the network is coming
up. But after that it seems to work as expected for me so far.

Not yet - still waiting for word from the horse's mouth, but I suspect
it's reasonably safe.
