I turned off both fill lights, and left on only the main light that has
shadowcasting enabled.
In the scene it's called "Light point6". There's nothing special about this
light, beside that I increased the size to 0,9 and quality to 5 to get a
soft shadow.
I threw in the GI shader as provided by Realsoft and did not make any
changes in settings. Of course I had to put together the AO post effects and
the GI post effects to let them run both.
The strange but nice effect is that with this combination of shaders the
result looks as if light is coming from many directions even with the use of
one pointlight and no walls around the object that could reflect the light.
But don't complain about render times :)
