I recently had a look at AO again... results can be very nice but it
basically has similar problems as full GI: slowing down a scene orders of
magnitude, either blur or use insane raycounts, etc... why not use full GI
unless AO would be significantly faster, imho.

 AO is an excellent addition to the RS toolkit , I think . All the
correct information needed to use it properly with V5 was covered
in the original thread ~ November/13+ of last year .



I 100% agree it's a great addition, maybe I sounded too harsh!
Hey, I did my homework, but if I have to render five 5000x3860 pics in a few hours - like today - AO is just no option :(


 Arjo is a very busy guy , but maybe one day he will find some time
to re-explore AO with V6 and create a nice project for us ?
