Hi all :
As mentioned previously , there are many new very cool projects
that we can just load and render , in the V6 "Samples" menu .
One of these is the interesting looking 'Samples\walkthru\
walkthru' . Obviously this is an example of the new V6.x
"game-like" navigation system .
In the 'Reference Manual' there is info on the new 'Walk Thru'
tool that is in our default 'View Control' panel (near top left).
Anyone have any tips on using it ? Played around with it but
no luck so far .
Thanks in advance .

Hi Garry,
Yeah, this baffled me too, it was one of the first things I checked out and
I got stuck immediately ;)
Yeah, the info in the reference manual doesn't help much...
I came this far:
- Set number of frames to at least 1000
- activate the walkthru tool
- hit Record
- press left mouse button and keep it down
- hit w to move forward, s backward, a and d sideways, use mouse for
direction
- when Length (at the right in the toolbar) exceeds the number of frames I
guess you're done, Hit Accept.
- a level with a properly animated camera is created. There's a new button
at the top right (not left, at least not in my interface, lol!) that
activates camera tracking for the view window; hit this before dragging the
new cam onto the view and playing the animation.
But I haven't figured out how to activate doors etc during the recording.
Any tips?
hope this helps a bit,
Mark H
