There's actually no way in Commentext to modify any
existing version.  Once a version of a document or document
component has been created, its fate depends entirely
on who accepts it by incorporating it into new document
versions, or by using it to as a basis for future versions, or
by linking to it from somewhere else.  Seems to me the
control you want is to ensure that whoever uses a version
of the document or any section of it understands who
created and approved it and what status it has under
the terms of the applicable license.
