Does anyone know if this is the same format ( XHP ) used for files
called from a control's HelpURL property? If so I found a document
regarding these files at
http://documentation.openoffice.org/online_help/OOo2HelpAuthoring.pdf

Looks pretty usable, at least the setup of the environment is mostly
clear. Maybe using it for writing real docs may take some time for
learning tags and the like.

If there was an easy way of editing or uploading the written docs using
the wiki it would be appropriate even for writers without
programming/cvs/etc background knowledge. This would need one person
handling the cvs-stuff and has the advantange of avoiding conflicts.

Well, a quick note on this. I attempted to follow the steps in the document to setup OO.o for creating these files. At a few steps what the document describes is not consistent with the choices I see in my installation. I made my best educated guess as to how to proceed, and well I suppose I am not particularly eductated, as I manged to not get the new menus or functions avaliable but did manage to hose my install of OO.o rather badly. Fortunatley it was the QiQ build and as Frank as just released a new one I will simply remove the old and re-install.

Anyway, I have sent a request to the folks at the OOOAuthors project to see if someone there can help with this. Not only with getting the environment setup but also as an editor and or writer.

The more I think about it the more convinced I am that this is an extremely important part of this project. It may well make or break it as far as usablility goes.
