At a guess, the format of your field in the form has changed. If you go
into form conception mode and the enter the group to select your field
and right click to choose Properties, what settings do you see ?
If the dates are in a grid control, then you can right click on the
column header and also see what formatting you have applied. It would
seem to me that the field is formatted with a date property, but since
the field definition is text, Base is interpreting your text the best it
can to convert that text into a pseudo date that it displays on the
screen. This would explain why the underlying data is correct, but not
its representation.
