Hi,

Around a week ago I went into the edit page of the table view of my
database, in order to change two columns from type "text" [VARCHAR] to
type "date". It wouldn't save them as type "date", but offered to delete
the existing columns and replace them with columns of type date. This of
course I did not want to do as I'd lose all my data from the two
columns-- so I said no and closed the edit window. But since that time,
any time I try to enter data (which is always dates) in these two
columns in the FORM view, it immediately changes it to some number which
is some incorrect form of a date. For example, today I entered the date
"04/19/08" and as soon as I put the cursor into another cell, Base
changed what I had entered to "01/02/4". For the last two days Base has
been changing whatever I enter in the Forms view in these two columns,
to this very thing "01/02/4". But if I go to the table view, all the
information I entered is correctly seen. So what has happened, that the
information I enter now is incorrectly shown in the Forms view? And can
it be fixed?

Thanks,
Swarup
