What do you mean by "usual gnome environment"?
Typically, I have 2 bars: top and bottom bars that I can manage using
gnome-extensions for example.
I just tried it again and it worked fine. I already had the top bar and
then I installed the frippery bottom bar and it worked too.

Those aren't the Fedora packages. You're using outside packages from
some other repo and there's something wrong with the signing key there.
Maybe you should switch back to the distro ones. I don't know what
"gnome-shell-frippery" is, but there are several "frippery" gnome shell
extensions available.
I understand the point for gnome-shell-frippery. but why I cannot update
gnome-shell and gnome-shell-common.
Because you're getting those from that other repo as well.

Is it not part of fedora? It was been running like a charm for a while.
It seems that people has already complain because gnome desktop is not
anymore supported by fedora.
That "frippery" thing is not part of Fedora. It's an external repo you
added. But there are the frippery extensions in Fedora.
Where did that nonsense about Gnome not being supported by Fedora come
from? Someone mentioned it on Facebook too. It's the primary desktop!
Without a properly running DM, I cannot manage my applications.
Currently my uodate to fedora 44 is stuck.
Disable that external repo before doing the update.
