I decided to check this out in OOo 2.1 linux, and what I found was somewhat surprising. Note: could be that I have added a label template from an older version of OOo and from the templates created by a third party... not sure how to check. 1. I did File|New|Labels and set up "Avery Letter" "Size 8167 Ink jet Return Address". 2. I left everything as default & only entered return address in the Label text box, then clicked "New Document". The wizard created the document, but all of the text was in Times New Roman 12 point font. The labels overran the page as the OP pointed out; so I thought, heck just do "Edit|Select All| and change all of the fonts to Arial 8 or 10 point. As it turns out, each label is a separate *frame* and "Select All" only selects the text in the first frame (as would be expected in a frame). Therefore you can't just simply Select All and change the fonts in the other labels, or have the change ripple through the other labels as in the Mail Merge macro... you have to change each frame individually. This seems pretty odd to me. I can't imagine why the template would be set up using frames instead of a table. For the OP: I suggest that you go to: http://www.worldlabel.com/Pages/template_1.htm http://www.worldlabel.com/autoconfig/autotemplates.asp?finditemnum=ol25 Download the MS Word template an use. This template is not a macro or wizard, but is a properly formated document using tables. I tried to download the template from avery.com, but the free blank label template server is not working at this time (for me at least). Open in OOo Writer, fill in the first label cell, format the fonts accordingly, then copy all text in the cell (return address) and paste into the other cells in the first column. Meaning, select the next label cell, use the paste button, down arrow go to next. Then select the entire first column & copy. Move to the next column & paste, next paste (this will paste the contents of the first column into the others. It's a bit of a pain, but once pasted, you can print the entire return sheet properly. I just tried this on a Canon MP750 printer and the labels come out fine. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
