I fully understand this. However, since the Open Office is free, then the actual value of the disc lies completely on the value of the "other" programs.... not on Open Office.

First, did you make that order for the Open Office, or the other programs? If for the Open Office, consider that Open Office is a free program from http://openoffice.org. If you ordered it for the other various programs, I'd question whether they are worth $49. If not, then I'd demand my money back and get the free Open Office.
