I attempted to install your product on my laptop for work and noticed that I am unable to open any of my documents saved on my desk top now without having to do an install. I need to abort the entire process but do not know how to do this. Please assist.

What happens now when you try to open one of those documents? It sounds as if you may have installed OOo and selected it as the default for opening MS Office files, and if those files were written with Office 2007, they probably have a filename extension that ends with x (like .docx) that OOo currently does not read. All you need to do is to change the "file association" for your documents back to the appropriate program (like Word). If you right-click on one of the file icons and choose Open With, you should be able to set Word as the program (and tell it always to open these filetypes that way). To be able to work on the files from OOo, you can open them in Word and store them in one of the older formats, using Save As. The next version of OOo, coming soon, will be able to work with the .docx (and other Office 2007 files).
