My first experience of using Open Office has been disappointing. I downloaded and installed it successfully with the aim of using it initially to read a .mdb file created on my home computer in MS Access and brought to My French laptop via a memory stick. Having attempted to open the file in Open Office, I get gibberish. Am I doing something wrong? I have mislaid the Office 2000 Professional CD, so cannot install Access on my laptop. Help!
