The winner of the VMOA Dyno shoot out on Sat. was running a Hindle . At
the strip on Friday it did not matter if you had a Hindle or Kerker or
even stock . All the races were won or lost in the first 60 feet . I
saw a stocker get a chain drive bike . My first time against Jerry
Ferguson's bike I got him. The second time out we switched lanes and I
lost traction and he got me . His bike dynoed 14 hp less than mine .
That 14 ponies could not catch him :-) .
Last Wed. when the we took our ride together, 50+ Vmaxes, there were a
few of us that started to run out front . It was the first time that I
saw the red line in fith gear since I bought the bike . It did not make
a difference what pipe you had including stock no one could really out
run the pack except a 1500 tourmaster wich would leave you in the dirt
especially if you were rolling on up around a 100 . IMHO I want one of
these engines . They are very smooth and strong .
Stan's info from the the dyno is correct but the dyno never won a race .
I run a Hindle because I like the sound over the Kerker and I know a
couple of HP really makes no difference on the street and it takes two
identical riders with the same skill to actually show the difference in
the two pipes.
