I really appreciate the suggestions for my "coughing" problem but before I jump in to changing jets and mains and all of that I'll probably just take them apart (for the first time) and give them a good cleaning and adjust them,as I mentioned my bike is bone stock and no major work was done to it since I own it,I got it with 2300mi and now it has 34k in 3 years. It had this "coughing" since I got it and because I got it from this guy up in Maine and it had only put 2300mi. on it in 5 years I figured that something must be sticking in the carbs because the long winter storages up there,but if you guys say that it is pretty normal for the Max to do that and it probably left Japan like that I'll try some of the things you guys suggested. thanks Marius ----- Original Message ----- From: marius To: V-MAX TECH LIST Sent: Saturday, March 11, 2000 8:17 PM Subject: slight backfire I wondered if any of you guys ran in to this one ?
