Thanks for the input .... You know ... I have always had the opinion
that the synthetic if for no other reason ... should be used for
longevity purposes ... because the viscosity is also very light at
normal and cold temperatures. Of course .. this allows the stuff to
get where it needs to be almost instantly ... after the engine is
started. On the other hand ... watching that light come on ... and
realizing that this is because the front of the crankcase vacated ...
I have been wondering if we are losing any significant hoof power with
all of that oil standing up at the rear of the engine. I guess though
... with our crankshaft pointing sideways and not in the direction we
are going ... it may be a mute point ... as the oil has nothing to
flood except the transmission gears .... and I suppose that can't be
all bad ......
