A lot of things need to be considered.What is the outside temp. Battery
power drops rapidly with low temps. starter current increases rapidly with
low temps.there are charts that will display these drops. You would be
shocked!. Every night I put the surface charger on my max & trike and they
stay until I ride again[ usually daily ]. This does many good things but
mostly it relieves the load on the alternator after first starting.i.e.. the
battery is fully charged before starting.      Bradford
