For some reason, I thought you were making a backup copy of the machine. So I responded based on that assumption. Now I see Daniel's response, assuming you're trying to clone the machine. So I re-read your original post, and now I think Daniel's right. Can you clarify what you're trying to do? If you want to clone a machine, the easiest thing to do is use the VirtualBox GUI. Machine / Clone. This will change the machine UUID, the hard drive UUID, the mac address, etc. But it will NOT change...
