Hi
I'm a little bit confused about the release cycles in the Velocity project. There is now a RC2 out for 7 months and no final release or even a next RC is published since then. There's also just a minimized reaction on reported bugs. I mean I know, all contributors to this project, as to all apache projects, are just volunteers and - just that you don't missunderstand me - Velocity is really great, but if someone should decide to include a template engine maybe he wouldn't take Velocity only because the project seems a little bit got to sleep... So maybe it would be good to initiate some bug hunting days and publish a next RC to demonstrate Velocity is cool and alive!
You are right.
There was a commit to the 1.3.1 rc2 version an some private discussion about releasing and moving on.
I'd like to just put 1.3.1 out, move 1.4 to rc1 status, and then put the new stuff in 1.5.
THoughts?
