Wayne: I’m glad you posted this, because that’s the kind I cannot use. But others can, while others like the rubber footed ones like myself, while others like the rotary pliers. So this way, since I went ahead and ordered the rotary pliers I can see for myself which ones I really like best. Chuck

I hadn’t even thought about parachute hackles. That’s one of the hardest things for me to do. In fact, I just don’t tie them as I ALWAYS make a mess out of them. But now that he brought that to my attention, I’ll try them again as I love how they make the fly sit flat and upright on the water for me when they are tied correctly. Normally, around here, after hatches really start up, you can cast a parachute tied dry fly late in the evening onto the water, just let it sit there and if there is a fish within 10ft or so, before the ripples stop they will pop the fly 9 times out of ten .
