I echo those comments...I have a 17 year old Mitchell 6 wt. and it is one of the finest rods I have owned. I have St Croix's, and others but this one is still my favourite. I have a Mitchell reel to match it and while my Hardy reel is certainly more refined....I have still catch (and release) more fish on this outfit and get great joy...So it proves the key tenant of our sport... you don't have to spend a lot to enjoy a lot.
