A word of caution -- zap-a-gap will make all stems VERY brittle and has no place on the head of a salmon fly!

I was watching a Dick Talleur video tying Atlantic Salmon Flies last nght. He used zap-a-gap quite extensively on the head to anchor the Hair Wings. I believe he was using Squirrel Tail. Is your comment related to feather stems or Salmon Fly heads, in general?
