I submitted this as a tip some years ago to Flytyer Mag.
Working with hair strips attached to the skin makes the dubbing loop easy. Form your loop.
Brush the hair on the strip so that it is smooth and 90* to the skin. Open the loop and insert the hair in the loop. Pull down on the loop to tighten the thread on the hair. When the hair is tight in the loop,
with a sharp scissors, trim off the skin, This leaves the hair neatly in the loop. Twist away and wrap.

I am looking to produce some Spey flies that use a dubbing loop with arctic fox or rabbit strips. This may sound amateurish but I have never used a dubbing loop. Could someone help me?????
Thanks Folks
