Jerry I just remembered …  I bought Steve the GLX for his birthday in February.  I think it’s a 10 wt though.  I haven’t tried casting it.  I don’t think he’s going to share it yet so I will just have to use the Powell until it breaks on us.    I’ll probably keep my 8ft Gloomis Cross Current  for boat fishing.  I was thinking of trading it in but I hear it’s a pretty popular rod for using on a boat?  It was a guide that offered to trade it for me.  What’s your opinion???? Regards, Deb     Wes,   About ten years ago,  I "Clousered"  a brand new Loomis GLX 9wt at 3 AM on Dogfish Bar on Martha's Vineyard .  The rod broke about 3 or 4 casts after the contact. Fortunately, had a great connection at Loomis at the time and they overnighted a rod the next morning.   I now use a "Well Digger's Arse"  instead of a "Clouser" for most uses.  http://www.flyfishsaltwaters.com/arse.htm    JG
