The last version of Windows to support printing to AppleTalk (EtherTalk) printers was Windows 2000. XP does not have the ability.

Of course, the GDI to PostScript routine in Win2k is severly lacking. It's limited to 300x300 DPI IIRC.

There is one exception to that. Printers. If there's a Laserwriter or other printer that "speaks" Appletalk, directly connected to a LAN, you can set it up as a "local" printer on an Appletalk Printing Device "port".

Really?
I am just curious because Microsoft says:
"Convert or upgrade your network printers to support the TCP/IP protocol. This network protocol is supported by current versions of Macintosh and Microsoft operating systems."

I might like to share a printer on my network and access them with older Macs some day, so thanks for any info...
