Erin,
Thanks for appreciating my English! The Subcontinent (present day India,
Pakistan and Bangladesh) was a British Colony till 1947. Hence the strong
influence. I have noticed quite a few list members having an amazingly good
knowledge of History and Geography. Bert even greets me with a 'Salaam' in his
pmails which is amusing and remarkable at the same time!
I would like to drive a LHD VW sometime soon here. They are rare here and
generally speaking their market value is lesser than the RHD ones.
I too have to adapt all the time when I drive dad's 800cc Suzuki (a very
popular car here given the fuel economy and low price of the vehicle itself and
spares) as it has the wiper control arm where VWs have the indicator lever.
